OMAHA, Neb. —

The family of the 36-year-old man accused in a shooting that injured an Omaha police officer offered their continued prayers to law enforcement involved in the incident.

On Tuesday, KETV spoke to the father of Shedrick Mills , who said: "On behalf of the Mills family, we just want to say that mental illness and drug addiction is unfortunately something that a lot of families have to deal with. We just want to let everyone know that our continued prayers go to the officers involved and their families."
