Detroit — Detroit Police and Fire Department investigators are seeking the public's help in finding a man captured on video riding a bicycle and holding what appears to be a turkey baster, which is suspected to have been used to torch a shuttered church in April, public safety officials said Tuesday.

The Detroit Fire Investigation Division, a joint task force between the city police and fire departments, is investigating the incident at the former Community Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church on French Road near Montlieu Avenue, according to a Tuesday press release from the unit.

At approximately 8:48 p.m on April 28, a Detroit Police Department Scout was traveling in the area of Mound Rd and Dwyer St. and saw heavy smoke coming from the east," the release said.
