New Delhi: Indian auto sales grew 5.2 per cent year-on-year in September, with upbeat growth across two-wheelers and passenger vehicles, with tax cuts boosting demand in the festival season, as said by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association. Sales were minimal during the first three weeks of the month of September. However, after the new GST policy came from September 22nd, the sales surged.

Two-wheeler sales climbed 6.5 per cent from last year, with passenger vehicle sales growing 5.8 per cent. Dealers also posted record high sales during the nine days of the Navratri festival, the association further noted, with 34 per cent year-on-year climb during the period.
