Edmonton police say three people have been arrested in connection with what they’re calling an unprovoked, violent robbery that left two men hospitalized last week.
Police say all three accused – aged 28 to 31 – were known to police. They were arrested along the Stony Plain Road corridor on Thursday – one day after police responded to a robbery and stabbing at the West Edmonton Mall transit station on 90 Avenue and 175 Street.
Authorities say the Wednesday morning attack, around 5:30 a.m., happened when the accused approached two men waiting at the station and demanded their cell phones.
