INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts are bringing back a familiar face after kicker Spencer Shrader's season-ending injury.

The team has signed kicker Michael Badgley, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero .

This will be his third time kicking for the Colts. In 2018, he signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent. In 2021, he signed with the Colts' practice squad, but was elevated days later to the active roster and then officially signed to the roster.

The 30-year-old most recently played for the Detroit Lions, where he was signed to the active roster in December 2023. Badgley re-signed with the Lions in February 2024, but suffered a torn hamstring five months later, where he was placed on injured reserve and missed the entire 2024 season.
