LIVINGSTON, N.J. (PIX11) — Police are investigating the discovery of a dead body in Livingston Tuesday morning, according to Essex County Prosecutors.

A woman was found by a worker at the Cedar Hill Golf Course at around 8:45 a.m., the club general manager told PIX11 News. The worker was apparently trying to chase deer off the property when they smelled something, according to the GM.

The body was found in brush at the edge of the course on Walnut Street, the GM said. Police are waiting for the cause and manner of death through an autopsy, according to officials.

The investigation is ongoing.
