An Edinburgh private hire driver who stabbed a takeaway owner has had his licence revoked. ‌

Yusuf Eroglu, 38, knifed Aydin Dag after he travelled to St Andrews to confront the Shawarma House owner over unpaid debts. ‌

An Edinburgh Council committee agreed on Tuesday that his licence to drive a private hire vehicle in the city would be stripped away with immediate effect. ‌

As reported by Edinburgh Live , Eroglu is currently serving a 42-month sentence at HMP Low Moss following the street attack.

Following the attack , which took place on November 7, 2023, the father-of-two left his victim seriously injured.
