BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) leaders are set to announce an increase in Medicaid provider reimbursement rates.
Gov. Jeff Landry was originally scheduled to announce with health leaders, but according to LDH Secretary Bruce Greenstein, the governor is at a hospital visiting an Iberville Parish deputy who was injured in a Monday night shooting.
According to Landry's office, LDH and Medicaid are credited for improving efficiency, which results in savings for the state.
