The Steelers completed their practice squad shuffle on Tuesday, announcing the release of linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley to make room for the previously reported signing of running back and returner Raheem Blackshear.
Bentley had been on the Steelers’ practice squad for under a month, signing on Sept. 16 after a visit.
The 2018 fifth-rounder was coming off a torn pectoral in 2024, but had recorded three straight 100-plus tackle seasons before that. Now, he returns to the free agent market.
