Connor McDavid is committed to winning a Stanley Cup with the Edmonton Oilers.

The Oilers captain silenced the noise around his future earlier this week, inking a two-year contract extension that carries a shockingly low $12.5-million cap hit . It’s practically an extension of his current contract, which was signed back in 2017 and has an identical cap hit.

This came after months of speculation that McDavid may leave the Oilers in free agency next summer. A possibility that was getting louder and louder with every passing day without a deal getting done.
