LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Every Tuesday, the Lake Charles Farm and Table Market showcases authentic goods from vendors across Southwest Louisiana.

These vendors focus on selling authentic, local flavors and products that can’t be found in every grocery store.

Market owner Jason Perkins says that it’s much more than just a vendor stand.

“We started it in February this year, and it’s kind of grown organically. It’s part of our community now,” Perkins said.

Perkins and his wife also own Mayhaw Ridge Honey, where they turned a hobby into a business three years ago.

Another vendor that marketgoers can expect to see is Suzy Garland’s Blossom Flower Herbals, a table with custom creations she says can solve all sorts of ailments.
