The New Orleans Saints are expected to sign veteran cornerback Michael Davis, a source with knowledge of the situation said.
Davis' signing comes after Isaac Yiadom suffered a hamstring injury in practice last week and missed Sunday's win over the New York Giants. Davis, 30, spent last season with the Washington Commanders, but he spent his first seven years with the Los Angeles Chargers — where he was coached by now Saints defensive coordinator Brandon Staley for three of the seasons.
It remains to be seen if Davis will see extended playing time. Quincy Riley played in place of Yiadom against the Giants, and the fourth-round rookie was already trending toward having his snaps increased.
