Chris Pine is set to star in the upcoming indie movie Carousel alongside Jenny Slate .

The movie will be written and directed by Rachel Lambert , who previously made the 2023 dark comedy Sometimes I Think About Dying with Daisy Ridley .

Deadline reports that not much is known about the plot of the movie, other than that it will be a “love story.” The movie has already wrapped production and was filmed in Cleveland, Ohio.

Other cast members include Abby Ryder Fortson , Sam Waterston , Katey Sagal , Helene Yorke , Jessica Harper , and Jeffrey DeMunn .

It was also recently announced that Chris will star in an alien invasion movie that has a star-studded cast.
