The puck drops on a new NHL season on Tuesday, and the New York Rangers are one of the first teams in action when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Rangers are coming off a disappointing season. They finished with a 39-36-7 record. Those 85 points had them 11th in the Eastern Conference and six points behind Montreal, which claimed the final wild card playoff spot in the conference.
