SHREVEPORT, La. -- Funeral services have been set for a 30-year veteran Shreveport firefighter who died Monday then passed on the gift of life through organ donation.

An honor walk at Christus Highland recognized Capt. Victor Green and acknowledged the many lives he helped save.

Family, friends and hospital staff lined the halls as Green was taken to the operating room. Afterward, fellow Shreveport firefighters raised the LOPA flag in his honor outside the hospital.
