HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Officials say a contractor working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to begin concrete repairs along a 17.7 mile stretch of northbound Interstate 165 in Ohio County later this week.

The KYTC says crews will be closing roughly one mile of slow lane along the northbound side of the interstate each day, between the 35 and 47.7 mile points. Closures are expected to last about 24 hours as concrete repairs are allowed to cure. Work will then move into another section of roadway to begin the process again.

Officials say this repair project is scheduled to begin on October 9 and be completed on October 15.
