After a self-inflicted loss against Nebraska last weekend, Michigan State football (3-2) is looking to regroup for its contest against UCLA (1-4).
Several mistakes led to the loss last week including a blocked punt by Nebraska's Jamir Conn.
"Yeah, wasn't to our standard," Smith said after the game. "Let's start with punt. Obviously, the returns. Obviously, the protection part. Again, we want to be better with our accuracy on some of those punts, not giving them the ball right down on the middle of the field. Kickoff, the return game, we turn it over there. When they're kicking off to you, you've gotta end the play with the ball."
Meanwhile, UCLA is on cloud-nine after a victory last week that pushed Penn State out of the rankings from No. 7.
