CHARLES TOWN - One of Washington coach Bryant Currence's goals was to have his golfers playing their best at the end of the season when it matters the most.
On Monday, the Patriots were the best team on the golf course once again, as they cruised to a Class AAAA, North Region title at Locust Hill Golf Course, winning by an impressive 12 strokes.
"We have been playing well all year, but ultimately, it really just comes down to this last tournament. It's kind of like ... it's all preseason until this one. This is the one that matters," Currence said. "Ultimately, they showed up like they did all year, and I was super proud of the guys. They did great."
