Dungeons & Dragons has kept up a steady stream of excited Unearthed Arcana releases this year, but the newest one contains a notable oddity. Unearthed Arcana is D&D 's format for playtesting classes and rules, allowing Wizards of the Coast to gather fan feedback and revise accordingly. Earlier this year, D&D released a rough draft of a Psion class in Unearthed Arcana , and a revision of the class arrived this week.

One big change in the revision is the overhaul of ego whip . In the first draft, Ego Whip was a Psionic Discipline Option, meaning it required the use of a Psionic Energy Die rather than a spell slot. It's now been turned into a spell, with a strange shift in its abilities to match.
