Police have arrested two men in Hertfordshire on suspicion of computer misuse and blackmail following reports of a cyber-attack on a chain of nurseries in London.

It was revealed last month that hackers had been using stolen pictures, names and addresses of some 8,000 children from the nursery chain Kido to demand ransom money .

Met Police received a tip-off about a ransomware attack on a set of Greater London pre-schools on 25 September.

On Tuesday, detectives investigating the reports conducted a “proactive operation” at several residential properties in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire. New Feature
