Three men who police allege were about to carry out a gangland hit outside a daycare centre have been arrested by tactical police who swooped on two cars along a busy road in Sydney’s south-west on Tuesday afternoon.

Police allegedly seized multiple firearms and jerry cans containing fuel from the two vehicles, which were left peppered with bullet holes, after the tactical operation about 3.40pm in Revesby.

The two vehicles were stopped after detectives at Condell Park identified three men, aged 18, 19 and 26, who were allegedly preparing an organised crime hit on another man near a daycare centre.
