HARRISON, Ark. (KY3) - Dove season is now underway in Arkansas. 

The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas urge hunters to exercise extra caution when approaching electrical equipment. Stray pellets could damage equipment, possibly interrupting electric or internet service and causing physical risks to those nearby.

Experts advise that for your safety, familiarize yourself with the area you’re hunting in and take note of any power lines. Also, look for signs that advertise electrical safety, and never place a decoy on a power line.

If you accidentally come into contact with a power line, report it.
