The Emergency Care Research Institute on Oct. 7 recognized 12 hospitals and health systems for excellence in supply chain and spend management.  The annual Healthcare Supply Chain Excellence Award considers a healthcare organization’s “utilization of services across the procurement lifecycle, including budgeting, benchmarking, technology assessment and strategic development,” according to a news release from ECRI, which also “evaluated candidates’ 2025 spend management and market analytics efforts for capital medical devices, supplies, physician preference items, service contracts and reagents.”

The 12 systems and hospitals:

Chesapeake (Va.) Regional Medical Center

Nicklaus Children’s Health System (Miami)
