NSW Police have intercepted an alleged "kill team" that was reportedly planning a hit near a daycare center in Revesby, a suburb in Sydney's south-west. The operation took place on Tuesday afternoon when detectives observed three men preparing to commit an offense during a routine surveillance operation. Tactical operations officers were called in to assist.

Around 3:50 p.m., police stopped two vehicles on The River Road. Images from the scene revealed a Mitsubishi SUV with multiple bullet holes in its front and rear windows. Two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested from one vehicle, while a 26-year-old man was apprehended from another nearby car.

During the search of the vehicles, officers seized two firearms, balaclavas, body-worn cameras, and jerry cans filled with fuel. A subsequent raid on properties linked to the suspects uncovered a third firearm. The younger men face several charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, possession of an unauthorized pistol, and participation in a criminal group. The older man has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and participation in a criminal group as well.

All three suspects were taken to Bankstown Police Station, where they were denied bail and are scheduled to appear in Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday. Assistant Commissioner Scott Cook stated that the police intervention was both calculated and coordinated, preventing a potential murder near a daycare center. "This was a deeply concerning scenario," he said.

The investigation is ongoing under Strike Force Flodine. Cook emphasized the effectiveness of police intelligence and surveillance operations, noting, "These individuals were being watched, and we moved at the right moment."
