ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - President Donald Trump called for a 100% tariff on movies produced overseas, a move some industry leaders say could supercharge production in the Peach State, while others fear it could harm the industry as a whole.

Trilith Studios in Fayetteville has been home to blockbuster franchises like Spider-Man and The Avengers , and the surrounding community has grown to match. Coffee shops, restaurants and apartments now rely on full-time film workers spending their paychecks locally.

Hollywood South Productions film producer Eddie Matthews says the industry has slowed.
