CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Ohio Department of Transportation told Cincinnati City Council that construction on the $3.6 billion Brent Spence Corridor Project will begin in early 2026.
ODOT and the Cincinnati Department of Transportation and Engineering provided council members with a new timeline on the progress being made on the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project.
ODOT’s Tommy Arnold says that when completed, the two bridges together will be something to behold.
“It’s honestly a very rare thing in the nation,” Arnold described. “There aren’t many double-decker bridges around. There aren’t that many cable bridges, although it is kind of state-of-the-art bridge design. And so that is going to be an exciting thing to see.”
Arnold said the work schedule is being developed now.
