Union women’s hockey freshman forward Megan Duplantie was named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Duplantie scored the first two goals of her college career in Saturday’s 2-2 non-conference tie against Merrimack on Saturday at M&T Bank Center. The first goal tied the score 1-1 4:47 into the third period. Her second goal came with 50 seconds left in the third and tied the score again.
