Traffic resumes on Cypress Street as construction progresses

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Construction on Cypress Street is moving forward — here’s what’s new:

Phase 3B began September 11, closing a portion of Cypress Street. As of Tuesday, October 7, the City of Abilene announced that the 200 block of Cypress Street has officially reopened to traffic.

Meanwhile, work has started on the parking lot at North 2nd and Pine Streets to make room for additional parking spaces to be added next spring. A partial closure of the lot will continue throughout the week.
