This in from the Edmonton Oilers , news that they have recalled 29-year-old Euro vet David Tomasek but and have left hot shot rookie Ike Howard on the way as well, his recall expected this afternoon.

Said the Oilers: “The Oilers have placed forward Zach Hyman on long-term injured reserve (LTIR) & recalled forward David Tomasek from the Condors.”

Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reported: “Ike Howard is being recalled by the Oilers, per Kris Knoblauch, and will play tomorrow vs. CGY. Alec Regula is likely to play with Darnell Nurse with Jake Walman injured. Walman is likely out for the season opener.”
