QUINCY (WGEM) - Bella Ease is hosting a program for parents all about tackling social media. The first session was on Oct. 2, but two more sessions remain on Oct. 16 and 23.
Leslie Vigor, Regional Office of Education social emotional learning director, is leading this new program. She said new research shows technology and social media has a direct impact on mental health, and it is often negative.
To combat this negative impact, Vigor said it is important for parents to set boundaries for their children when it comes to the time they spend using technology.
“First of all, I want parents to understand that it is okay to say no to your children and follow through,” Vigor said. “It’s hard to say no in the world today, because everybody has a phone and they’re used in all of the settings i
