SHEDEUR Sanders has taken one step closer to becoming the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns.

With the Cincinnati Bengals acquiring Joe Flacco from the Browns on Tuesday, Sanders is stepping up in the backup quarterback role.

With Joe Burrow down for an extended period of time, the Bengals have been struggling for quarterback play.

In the three games the Bengals played without Burrow, they were outscored 113-37.

After a few weeks without Burrow, the Bengals appear to have seen enough of Jake Browning.

They sent a fifth-round pick to the Browns in return for Flacco and a sixth-round pick.

With Flacco out of the way, Sanders now moves up from QB3 to QB2 in the Browns' depth chart.
