SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — An 86-year-old man had to be rescued off an East Valley trail Tuesday afternoon after experiencing heat exhaustion, according to the Scottsdale Fire Department.

Rescue crews were called out to the Brown’s Ranch trail near Pima Road and Dynamite Boulevard just after noon.

Scottsdale Fire officials said the hiker was unable to make it off the trail on his own, so they had to use UTVs and e-bikes to get to him and rescue him off.

Firefighters said he was in stable condition. No other information was released.
