ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - Concord High School’s marching band will be performing at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade this year!

Concord was selected out of a pool of more than 100 applicants.

The Marching Minutemen are one of just 10 marching bands honored with distinction, celebrating 100 years of the holiday tradition.

This is also the 100th anniversary of Concord High School.

We caught up with the band director on the long legacy of excellence at the school.

“We have a long history of being a really successful band here . . . and over the year’s, we’ve really achieved a level of excellence that not many schools get to do,” said Bryan Golden, director of music at Concord High School.

In 2024, the 98th Macy’s Parade reached nearly 3 million spectators as well as more than 31 million view
