As the fight continues over whether the Trump administration can deploy National Guard troops to Portland, one group is pulling some four-legged friends into the political tug of war.
The group Protect Oregon has scheduled “a giant puppy party” for 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Revolution Hall in Southeast Portland. An event poster included in a news release reads: “Oregon is home. Not a military target. No violence against our people, our dogs, or our communities.”
Protect Oregon said the purpose of the event was to say: “Paws off Portland!” Its news release promoted the hashtags “#PawsOffPortland” and “#OregonIsHome”
