ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Atlanta Gladiators opened up training camp earlier this week at the Atlanta IceForum in Duluth.
Back in May, the team announced Matt Ginn as the seventh head coach in franchise history.
He takes over for Derek Nesbitt, who stepped into a new role as director of community engagement.
Ginn is not new to the Gladiators. He joined the team for the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach after two seasons as a head coach in England for the Manchester Storm of the Elite Ice Hockey League.
He also played for Atlanta from 2015 to 18.
“Last year was a bit of a learning curve,” Ginn said. “It’s nice to be back in charge... this year is a good challenge for me and I am looking forward to it.”
