MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The community is asked to support local nonprofits at the 7th Annual Scarecrow Garden at the Biedenharn Museum and Gardens.
Three guest judges will choose their top three scarecrow displays made by the nonprofits. Museum officials say the first, second and third place winners will be rewarded with cash prizes.
The Executive Director of the Biedenharn Museum and Gardens, Ralph Calhoun, says this event strengthens the connections between the community and nonprofits.
“We want to support and lift areas of nonprofits, so we offer them the opportunity to come in, they do a scarecrow display, and then they have an ability to win two different categories’ cash prizes,” Calhoun says. “It’s a lot of creativity, but you also see the care and love that these different organiza
