Training camp for the Komets got crowded quickly with a series of transactions within the Edmonton Oilers organization on Tuesday before the start of the NHL season.

The Oilers assigned three forwards — Jayden Grubbe, James Stefan, and Brady Stonehouse — and a pair of goaltenders — Samuel Jonsson and Connor Ungar — to the Komets from the Bakersfield Condors. The Condors also loaned forwards Matthew Brown and Trevor Janicke to Fort Wayne

Additionally, five players signed to tryout contracts with the Condors were cut and will be able to rejoin the Komets. Those players were forwards Josh Groll, Austin Magera, and Dillon Hamaliek, as well as defenseman Dru Kreb and Tyler Inamoto.
