Rain is forecast overnight and into Wednesday in the Lehigh Valley , amid lingering precipitation deficits since fall 2024.

The dry conditions prompted a warning from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources that outdoor burning could lead to out-of-control wildfires.

That’s as officials this week announced a Drought Watch for 25 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties, primarily in the north-central and western reaches of the state.
