The pursuit of the perfect pumpkin has begun.
With Halloween a few weeks away, pumpkin patches have popped up across the region, but Cal Poly Pomona has one of largest seasonal undertakings.
Its 32nd annual Pumpkin Festival got underway Saturday, Oct 4.
Overseen by the university’s Huntley College of Agriculture, the stars of the patch are the approximately 30,000 student-grown pumpkins.
There also fun activities such as hay rides, a corn maze, a petting farm, a train pulled by an antique tractor and a children’s area.
The band Drivin’ Mama Crazy will play Saturday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 12, while line dancing will be featured Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19.
The admission fee is $20 per person, but children 2 and younger are free. The fee does not include pumpkins or
