Colorado head coach Deion Sanders announced Tuesday morning that he is undergoing surgery later in the day to deal with a health issue.

Sanders did not reveal what exactly the surgery is, but the news comes after he said Saturday night that he was "hurting like crazy" and believes he has more blood clots in his legs, according to ESPN .

“I’m having a procedure today. Prayerfully, I’ll be right back tomorrow, because I don’t miss practice,” Deion Sanders said during his press conference on Tuesday. “I don’t plan on doing such. But it is what it is, and we found what we found. We knew what it was.

“So I have a wonderful team of doctors at UCHealth and a wonderful team of trainers here to make sure and ensure my health.”
