Millions running Windows on laptops have 6 days to take action

An estimated 21 million people with PCs afre being told they’ve got seven days to take action. Consumer group Which? was highlighting the potential risks to people because Microsoft is stopping supporting Windows 10 meaning it would get new security updates.

This is important because hackers are constantly updating their methods which are countered by updates to the operating system, leaving millions vulnerable after October 14.

Which? is warning Windows 10 users to act now to avoid security risks, as new survey data suggests a quarter of people with a device running Windows 10 intend to continue using the operating system when support is withdrawn.
