AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - For Augusta city leaders, it's been building feelings about the Charter Review Committee, and those feelings spilling out.

“Putting the heat on the mayor and attorney Plunkett... it was uncalled for,” said Commissioner Catherine Smith Rice.

But Commissioner Francine Scott is calling on the mayor and attorney to explain what role they took in the resolution creating the Charter Review Committee, which was drafted a little more than a year ago.

“Today, I have a lack of confidence in this process and what the attorney is saying. I understand there was a hurricane, but this is ridiculous,” said Commissioner Scott.
