STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — One person was injured after a vehicle overturned while navigating the campus of the College of Staten Island in Willowbrook Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. on Loop Road, which runs around the perimeter of the school, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
Two witnesses near the scene told the Advance/SILive.com, the driver collided with a short cement cylinder that could be seen near the curb, causing the vehicle to flip over onto its side.
The driver’s side of the vehicle, a white Audi Q5, suffered significant damage to its doors and window, while the side mirror was hanging from the vehicle by a length of wire. An airbag had also been deployed.
