SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — After the Slammedenuff car show on Saturday, a crowd of 2,500 to 3,000 people gathered at Jimmy's Market in Pigeon Forge. The police chief said that the crowd was uncontrollable.

People in videos were seen climbing on gas pumps, signs and on the building's roof. That behavior led to the city's decision to cancel the Sunday show and not allow the car show's return.

City Mayor Robbie Fox and City Administrator Dustin Smith said they were on the phone early Sunday morning listening to what was happening. They both agree they did not want another situation like this to happen again.

"It was ultimately due to just the lawless order of the attendees who were here and the amount of law enforcement resources that it was taking to handle the situation," Smith said.
