NORMAN — Vegas oddsmakers have a new list for the next college football coach to be fired.

Penn State’s James Franklin is number 2 on the list, behind only Luke Fickell of Wisconsin. Texas’ Steve Sarkisian is number 6.

OU’s Brent Venables? Nowhere to be found. At least not among the 13 coaches listed by BetOnline.ag.

I don’t know anything about Vegas or its oddmakers, BetOnline or its many competitors. For all I know, these numbers are set by a guy in the back of a pool hall in downtown Locust Grove.
