HUNTINGDON VALLEY — A lot can change in five weeks.

When Suburban One League Freedom Division rivals Springfield Montco and Lower Moreland met for the first time on Sept 3, the Lions won by five goals. In the rematch Tuesday afternoon at Valley Center Park, the teams were tied after 80 minutes.

It took less than two minutes into the extra session for the game to be decided. Roman Corcoran netted the game-winner in the 82nd minute to give the Spartans a 2-1 overtime win and create a tie atop the SOL Freedom standings with three games remaining.

Corcoran’s goal came 1:49 into overtime. He received a pass from Will McLaughlin in the box and deposited it into the far side of the net, sending the Spartans into a celebration.
