Toymaker Mattel is expanding its Barbie lineup with four new dolls modeled after some of the country's most famous female rugby players, including Ilona Maher.
Maher, who is a bronze-medal-winning member of TeamUSA's Rugby Sevens team, is getting the Barbie treatment and sports her #2 jersey.
Other athletes being immortalized in plastic include Ellie Kildunne of England, who plays for the Red Roses team, New Zealander and Olympian Portia Woodman-Wickliffe, and France's Olympic medalist Nassira Konde.
Mattel announced the upcoming release of the new dolls on International Day of the Girl, and showcased the new series of figurines that sport added knee and elbow joints to help pose them for play.
