Ichabod Crane’s Tanner LaTorre outduels field through seven-hour marathon in Section 2 boys’ golf Class B championship

MECHANICVILLE — The golf itself was only half the battle. Competing through whipping winds, and woefully long waits was a whole other challenge on Tuesday at Fairways of Halfmoon.

But Ichabod Crane junior boys’ golfer Tanner LaTorre has unique experience playing the Gary Van Alstyne designed par-72 public course in less-than-ideal conditions. He channeled some of that past history, en route to carding the low-medalist score of one-under-71 in the 2025 Section 2 Class B Championship.
