SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - This week we present to you the ABC7 Athlete of the Month for September. The honor goes to Bradenton Christian School’s (BCS) Alyssa Eurice.

She has shown what having the heart of a champion is really about and has not allowed any obstacles to stand in her way from the day she was born.

Eurice says just being able to be out on the court as a true blessing for her. “I feel great,” Eurice said. “I’m super grateful that they gave me this opportunity. It’s super fun. I’m super sad it’s my last one, but it’s been super fun.”

Eurice recently had heart surgery over the summer, and it’s the fourth one she’s had in her young life. “I feel like it was kind of in God’s hands,” Eurice said. “You can think that you have the biggest obstacle in life, but really it’s just anoth
