ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Storms are expected to pass through Albuquerque this evening, raising concerns about the impact on the Balloon Fiesta scheduled for tomorrow.

Balloon Fiesta is a weather-dependent event, and storms and wind could affect tomorrow's activities. After speaking with Fiesta officials and pilots, a major concern is the winds that could follow the incoming storms.

"The forecast is calling for a chance of rain during our flying window tomorrow, and a chance in Albuquerque means we may have a window to fly, and we may not have a window," Mark Yocom, a Balloon Fiesta pilot, said. "It just sort of depends on what's happening with the clouds around the area."
